Pioneer Pet Fountain Review

Pet owners have to do all they can to keep their pets healthy. From feeding them good foods to taking them to the vet, there's nothing that we won't do for our beloved pets.

However, many pet owners are finding out that they may be overlooking the importance of how much water their dogs drink. And for dogs who are getting older, or dealing with an illness, adequate hydration is crucial to their health.

That's why the Pioneer company has introduced its Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain – also known as Big Max. This pet fountain, for dogs and cats, is designed to encourage pets to drink enough water to stay healthy.

How Does it Encourage Pets?

We began doing research for this Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain review to see how it stacks up against other, similar pet fountains. Like some of those other pet fountains, the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain entices animals to drink by providing a constantly flowing source of water.

Anyone who has ePioneer Pet Drinking Fountain Reviewver had to stop their pet from drinking in a toilet can attest that animals are naturally attracted to flowing water. Of course, we'd all like that flowing water to be coming from a clean healthy source, instead of toilets or outdoor streams.

That's where the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain comes into the equation. This pet fountain circulates and trickles water into the bowl area to stimulate your pet's natural attraction to streaming waters.

Healthier Water

Have you ever taken a look at water that's sat around in your dog or cat's bowl for a few days and thought that it looked good enough for you to drink? Probably not. Well, how do you think pets feel about stagnant, stinky water that sits in those traditional pet bowls for days on end?

Part of the reason that some pets simply don't drink enough water is because of this very thing. They don't like the way it smells or tastes. The Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain works to clean up the water, while it circulates. This pet fountain uses a removable charcoal filter to clean water on every pass.

That means that foul odors and bitter tastes are removed, and your pet gets access to a constant supply of clean, fresh water from this pet fountain.

Built Tough

One of the most striking features what we found while creating this Pioneer pet fountain review, was just how tough and durable this pet fountain is. It is constructed from long-lasting ceramic material and made to withstand regular use and abuse.

We've looked at a few Pioneer pet products, and one thing that always holds true for their stuff is that they are all tough and durable. Since you're paying for a long term watering solution for your pets, when you buy the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain, it's nice to know that you get a product that is actually built to last for years to come.

Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain Features

  1. Circulates water to be more appealing to dogs and cats.
  2. It's dishwasher safe for simple cleaning.
  3. Uses a removable charcoal filter to clean and purify pet water.
  4. Holds a whopping 128 ounces of water.
  5. Constructed from tough ceramic material.
  6. The shiny black design looks great in any room of the house.

The Highs & the Lows

We look at plenty of pet products for our reviews. And in doing so, we haven't yet found a product that's absolutely perfect. So we always make sure that we list the good points and the bad points for every product that we review. So, in keeping with that tradition, here are the pros and cons of the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain.

Pros

  • It holds an amazing 128 ounces of water. This is much more than the Pioneer stainless steel model, and means less messy water fill ups to deal with for you.
  • The black, ceramic design looks amazing, no matter what kind of room it is in.
  • It promotes better health for cats and dogs. We can't say enough good things about how this pet fountain entices cats and dogs to stay healthy and well hydrated.
  • Easy to clean in any dishwasher.

Cons

  • Clogs can happen. Some dogs shed and get a bit of hair into the pet fountain. Be aware that clogs can happen, though they are usually simple to remove.
  • It's a bit noisy. Since the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain pumps water 24/7, it makes a little bit of noise. It's not like there's a chainsaw being run, but you will notice the hum of the pump as it works, which can be distracting for some people.

Aside from some very minor cons, we've found the Pioneer Ceramic Pet Fountain to be one of the nicest pet fountains that we've had the good fortune of checking out.

When we set out to do this Pioneer cat fountain review, we weren't sure how well this model would stack up to similar pet fountains on the market. After just a bit of research, though, it was easy to see that this is a very nice pet accessory that more cat and dog owners need to know about.
